BC was able to be bought. I have a vague recollection that Kerry had some sort of legal issues at the time that any
honest law school would have balked at even considering accepting him. I bet that Jimmy Carter kowtowed to Teddy K.
and included those "issues" in the alleged pardon that Kerry received.
FWIW, I dated a BC grad. I remember glancing at her yearbook, and the 1979 commencement speaker was VP Walter Mondale, iirc.
