Why do you feel it is okay for the cops to give Kennedy a break??
The cops did WRONG, by not doing their jobs...IMHO>
And, had Patrick not gotten "caught" this time...and kept driving under the influence and hurt or killed someone. those cops would have to take part of the blame...for not getting a dangerous person off the streets, for good.

Well, cops do that sometimes believe it or not. I am a CJ major and I have known a lot of cops, sometimes they will cut a person a break. This caller is saying it. Is it wrong? Yes but cops are people as well, maybe they felt sorry for him, and no one else was injured and they knew it was going to be embarassing for him. Weak moment.
