Actually Kennedy is not such a lucky dude. If he had not scheduled a press conference this story would have been overshadowed by Goss. The Press conference might restart the story.

Let's wait to see if Patrick actually holds that press conference. I heard he was flying to Rhode Island to make the announcement in his home district.....lots of problems could cause him to cancel it. I mean, he's already cancelled two public engagements today.
But even if he holds a press conference in RI, in a roomful of staffers and supporters, it is not going to be played as big as it would be in DC

I certainly hope so. The Goss story has stirred up a bunch of guessing and the media frenzy is already tiresome. Thank God it broke this afternoon and not earlier in the week. I'd much rather kick around a Kennedy any day!
