He makes it sound like he was sleep-driving. ("I don't remember getting out of bed, driving, and being stopped by the police.") Whew.
If he were at the bar all that time, he'd better hope and pray someone doesn't rat him out.

What a jerk. Yep, his "stomach" meds were in a bottle labeled "Meet My Little Friend". Oh, poor widdle thing. He can't remember anything so he's not at fault. Sure, it's sleep driving, yep, uh huh, I believe it.
Not.

Is he deaf or does he think we are? He seems to be yelling. Wonder if he's on that drug Rush was on that causes deafness? Can't remember what it's called.

He was in a blackout. He has no memory of the incident. Wasn't it reported that the bar tab was reported on?

And how many people do you know who could "check himself into the Mayo Clinic" on such short notice? I wonder if his Congressional insurance pays for the treatment.

Oh brother, CNN is speculating about his addiction to "prescription drugs".. This is a very calculated strategy. His aides came up with this during the night when they realized his goose was cooked.
If they cry "prescription pain medication", they hope to squash any criticism of his illegal behavior and special treatment by the police because they will cry "Well, Rush was addicted too!"
He was drunk, but drugs may also have been involved. Two of the police present have said they smelled alcohol. A waitress at the bar IDed him drinking there.
They way he will get away with it is once in rehab, they can treat you for all addictions - booze plus drugs. Then they can justify the cover up.
To: Mo1
Prepared by his lawyer, I am sure.
To: SE Mom
At least he didn't try to swim across the Potomac.
To: SkyPilot
I don't think Ol' Joe had this in mind for a family legacy, I wouldn't think so anyway.
