Does this church also fly the Mexican flag? I wouldn't be surprised. We didn't have any flag in church for several years until several of us made a point to buy and donate one. I still think there are some who grumbled about that.

I wouldn't attend a church that had misgivings about putting both the Stars and Stripes and the Christian flags. If I ever heard grumblings about an American flag in a church, I would go ballistic. 'Nuff said.
