Sorry about your mom, DL, it a shame but death is a great part of life that all of us will share at some point unless the rapture happens first.

To clarify:

After mom coded on Sunday, April 30, her brain was deprived of O2 due to the nurses slow response. She was essentially 'brain dead' from that point on and was in a vegatative state. Her living will stated that no heroic actions should be taken in such a case. This is why she was not given IV fluids, etc. I have no idea how she lived so long afterwards. It just shows how tough she really was!

Thanks for all of the sincere support and prayers. It certainly helped. I feel so much better and accept her fate. There is absolutely no doubt whatsoever that she was a Christian and she now has a wonderful existence. We have no idea the joy she is experiencing right now so I'm happy for her. She has no regrets, I'm sure.

My brother was really depressed but came to an acceptance the last two days before mom died. He was actually there when it happened. He prayed for that to be the case. The process was painful but was part of his healing. So, I'm not so worried about him now.

Today is mother's day. Wish she was still here but that's not the case. I sent her a beautiful bouquet last year for mother's day and she was so thrilled! I'm so glad that I gave her moments like that. Afterall, she was a great person to be around.

God bless you all!

Victor

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Your mother is surely at peace now with Jesus. My mother also died unexpectedly following bypass surgery (she was diabetic and on dialysis) so I've been there myself. God be with you and yours.

I've had a loss this year also. A Daughter in law who was killed in an accident last July. My son was driving and they'd been married only 2 months...Anyway---

I know what you mean about loss. I have found myself remembering her present to me last Mother's Day. She was so excited because she made me a beautiful plant arrangement. Floral arrangement was her career. It's raining today and I feel very sad for our losses.

But---I know my DIL is in heaven and you say your mom was saved, so to them it is GAIN...We yearn to have them back with us, but they wouldn't want to come back. Would we? I'm sorry but I don't think I would want to come back. It's only for a little while until we follow their footsteps and join them.

I'm reminded of the story about standing on a ship and waving good bye to those who have come to see us off. Then going to the other side of the ship and waving to those who are greeting us. Something like that.

Thanks for sharing that beautiful writing. I didn't know your mom, but she must have been a wonderful person. May you find peace and comfort.
