Why would anyone want to go to Mexico on vacation with all of the much better options in the Carribean?

Why would anyone want to go to Mexico on vacation with all of the much better options in the Carribean? I don't think most people are aware of the garbage that goes on down there. If it weren't for FR, I wouldn't.
