A Kennedy. A car. Helpful cops.

The usual recipe up there. Gee, I'm shocked.

"I was involved in a traffic accident last night at First and C Street SE near the U.S. Capitol. I consumed no alcohol prior to the incident. I will fully cooperate with the Capitol police in whatever investigation they choose to undertake," Kennedy said in a statement.

No alcohol, yeah right. The CNN story seems to think differently, that Kennedy 'appeared intoxicated':

Rep. Kennedy involved in early morning accident

Yet, of course the good Patrick says no alcohol was involved. Hmmm.

Racing to a vote at 3 a.m.? Which vote Chivas or Johnny Walker? Or this one - the blonde or the brunette?

SECOND TIME THIS MONTH,ANYONE HAVE A LINK?

Here's the police report. Check out the written statement by Kennedy on the last page. He must have gotten his script filled a half hour before entering that statement.

This article sure leaves a lot out of what Drudge has posted. The Drudge report has Kennedy stumbling about after driving his car with the lights off. I guess "stumbling" and "lights not on" are characteristics of the Kennedys.

He is currently serving his sixth term as the Democratic Congressman from Rhode Island.

That should read: ...currently serving six years of a 10 year sentence at.... (some east coast prison)

Hey, he's a Kennedy, they're all crooks and should serve in jail, not Congress.

But what a shocker eh: A Kennedy, a car, and booze...

and the response from MADD...

::: crickets :::

Was he anywhere near water? The Potomac per chance?

At least we now know he wasn't adopted.

No, it was not last night. It was today, in the early moring hours, not long before before daybreak.

No, it was not last night.

Colloquially, it was last night--i.e., before he went to sleep for the previous day.

But chronologically, it was early this morning.

I don't think you understand what a "mulligan" is.

This just sounded like "shading" the facts to me. When you say "last night" most people think of pre-midnight, which was a convenient way for Kennedy to give the impression that this "mishap" occurred during what most people would consider as normal hours.

BURIED in the 8th paragraph of the story after 7 paragraphs of pro-Kennedy spin.   Typical CNN.

There was a thread here the other day. This makes two accidents in as many weeks for the sot. The accident report was posted and his handwriting could only have been that of a drunkard. Anybody remember this? Same Kennady, right?

What vote happens in the middle of the night?

1. Congressional pay raises
2. Tax increases
3. Pork-laden omnibus appropriations

Isn't it a little late to be asking about Kennedy's car accident? Oh wait...not the same Kennedy.
