" "Kennedy, 38, spent time at a drug rehabilitation clinic before he went to Providence College in Rhode Island. He has openly discussed his personal mental health problems, including having been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. "

March 1, 2000 :
" Congressman Patrick Kennedy of Rhode Island disclosed yesterday that he takes antidepressants for periodic bouts of depression and has visited a psychiatrist regularly since 1986. "

Patches has been seeing a shrink since he was 19.
Let us not forget the yacht incident where Patches slugged his girlfriend and she called the Coast Guard for rescue.
Also, the owners of the rented yacht claimed that Patches did $28,000 worth of damage .
The company had charged Kennedy had "trashed" and "abandoned" the 42-foot sloop last summer off Martha's Vineyard island.
And how could we forget Patches saying this-
"in the heat of a speech Kennedy criticized President Bush's tax cuts by telling a group of young Democrats in Washington:
"I have never worked a [expletive] day in my life."

I can't wait to see Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid defend Patches.
