The word "Naphthar" means "cleansing". It was also called Nephi by some. So if you say early Christians cleansed themselves, I'm sure they did.

This place was named by Nehemias. It's a place were the Jews purified sacrifices with water supposedly made from fire from the temple which was hidden in a deep hole.
