Good, better if I quite trying to load photos into photobucket. :) A day off should be a stress free day. This calls for more coffee.

I wonder how long it will be before someone is kidnapped in Iraq with threats of beheading until Moussaoui is freed.

I'm just conflicted about how the flow of the show is. I really do like Brian (the Judge sometimes turns me off cold); but Tony had a set of topics and he explored them and kept the callers focused on the topic at hand. Rush doesn't do themes, but he also steers by whatever topic he's interested in at the moment. Sean and Medved have topical themes. So far this show seems to wander back and forth. It's possibly because they haven't figured out how to do the format yet, so I'm keeping an open mind.

I have been worried about that since before the verdict. If the verdict had been death, we would have been bombarded by terrorists at every level of the appeal until the final death watch. But leaving him alive is an invitation to potential hostage takers.

I've never had a problem with the death penalty. But the death penalty the way it's currently applied is almost absurd. The Federal system isn't too bad, but states like CA -- where it takes more than 25 years to get to final justice -- is absurd. This case is ideal for a military commission. Cockroaches need to be stomped on.

The problem with this show as opposed to Tony's show is Tony really understands the inner working of Washington politics and was able to see through the b$. He wasn't fooled by the spin the way so many other talks show hosts are. He also almost never went on a rant about an issue. He thought things through and explained them beautifully.

One of the reasons I liked Mary Matalin's radio show was the same reason. She was connected and understood the politics.

Neither Tony nor Mary had an arrogant attitude with their callers, unlike so many other hosts. I think Rush is the only other talk show host that comes close to Mary and Tony's understanding of the Washington scene. He, like them, handles most issues with humor and understanding never really going off the deep end. Unlike the O'Reilly's of the world who want to be liked by everyone and are all over the place (not to mention the huge ego trip.)

Apparently, President Bush will be traveling the first few days of next week, so the briefings will be on Air Force One / off-camera. That is what ABC News says, for what it's worth.

ABC News AfterNote Audio: May 3, 2006 -- President Bush did some preaching to the Republican choir today and gave Democrats a black eye on the economy. You can hear all about it in today's AfterNote.

Also, find out in which language first lady Laura Bush believes the national anthem should be sung and Tony Snow's plans to take over the most visible podium on Earth.

We need to talk about immigration and Harry Reid is on the floor of the Senate talking about stem cells. Are they crazy or is this calculated? They never want to work on whatever they are supposed to work on!

Kedd, I think you hit the nail on the head. The reason I love Tony and Rush is that these are things they KNOW like the back of their hands. Brian knows his set of stuff and the Judge knows the laws, but not always the facts...that's the problem. It will either take time for them to build up a knowledge base and I'm not sure they can yet because they are NOT reporters or don't study it every day like Rush. Laura worked in the WH so she knows some of it; Sean, Rush and Medved do nothing else. Good point!

Morning, Ali. It is frustrating that since the "regime change" 8) there is no one advocating for release of the entire Barrett report or more information about Able Danger. The Dems are burying as many bones as they can in preparation for the '08 election.

What we have to understand is the terrorists are not people. They are sub human scum. They're going to do what they do no matter what happens here. Whether we off Moussaoui or he gets life means nothing. Those pigs will keep blowing themselves up killing innocents and continue cutting off heads. We can only hope that at some point they run out of homicide bombers because every one of those jerks have killed themselves.

We cannot live our lives worrying about how a bunch of savages are going to react to everything we do. Let's leave that to the liberals, the dem congress that our side will put in power for spite and the dem elected prez in 2008 for that same reason. We will cut our noses to spite our faces and then we can watch everything go to bleep in a hand cart when the dems take over.

Harry Reid is on the floor of the Senate talking about stem cells.

That's Harry ... This is a low-grade filibuster against tackling the Issues. Also Stem Cells are going to be one of their attack themes this fall in their 'incompetent and religiously dominated' "action line".

I wish them well on this BS, if stem cells were promising, the private sector would be all over it. They are not, so that tells me there is not much there, there.
