If an employer has 100 employees and 90 of them are illegal it's pretty much obvious he knew he was hiring illegals.

Did you know that employers check against a Social Security number database that is likely to show that those 90 numbers are all valid? What is an employer to do after SS numbers check out?

Do you know an employer can be sued for refusing to hire someone because he suspects they are illegal, especially if they turn out not to be?

They just arrested an owner last week, and that excuse didn't wash. These things can be prosecuted ,your not going to win them all but you'll get a lot and all you have to do convince these employers that it's no longer feasible.

It sounds like a fix is in order. What has Bush said about the issue of fraudulent ID's? The fact is, is that there was a conscious decision to deemphasize the issue of fraudulent ID's, with a wink and a nod. What Bush wants, I think, is to leverage doing something about the obvious holes, into getting his guest worker plan. Do you disagree with my take on this?

Did you know that employers check against a Social Security number database that is likely to show that those 90 numbers are all valid? I think a very big flag would be the inability to speak English and then credit and reference checks, which are pretty standard.
