I own lifetime, unlimited Long-Term Care Insurance with a top rated insurance company, do you???
"Amazing how, almost two decades after the demise of communism and its system of rigorous control over its slaves (internal passports, work permits, state permission to relocate, et cetera), some folks want to put the shackles on their own wrists and ankles."
What do you propose as a more worthy solution? Maybe you like the idea of the Democrats suddenly having 20M legal voters? This because you don't think it's appropriate to enforce our laws. What is the difference between the communism you accuse us of voluntarily accepting, and the communism we will face under democrat control of our government that will result from the legalization of 20M illegal immigrant socialists? You are surely a troll or maybe even a traitor.
Wow. Pointing out that some people want to have the sort of police state that the Soviet Union had is now suddenly "treason."
.........but is the deaf Bush Administration listening.
If there had been good-faith enforcement of border security from 2000 GWB would not now be faced with having alienated Joe Sixpack, and that is what he has done.
If GWB had not winked and grinned at Vicente, and worked tirelessly to promote Vicente at the expense of low-income American citizens, if he had simply not backed off from the issue and made those enraging statements about "willing lawbreaking for willing lawbreaking employers"--
if he had just and "I am bound by oath to protect our sovereignty, something Mexico does without apology every day."
But he didn't. And the leftist radical Latinos now have a pulpit and an audience, and all the selling-out in the world hasn't made them love Bush.
Now I do not know what the GOP can do to salvage themselves--
More evidence that the protests by illegal aliens are backfiring on them.
let the businesses hire anyone they want - so long as when they are tapped on the shoulder and told they are illegals, they do something about it. they get 3 chances to comply, if they fail to comply - their business is closed down for some period of time, and they are fined. no one needs to be arrested or taken to trial or anything like that. its simply a matter of sanctions, fines, etc.
Indeed so. Unfortunately, this particular individual is so deeply committed to his pro-illegal alien position he is unable to distinguish fact from fiction or hope from reality. He thinks of these issues strictly in political terms. He processes every anti-illegal alien initiative as to how negative it is on the Hispandering Party-Above-Principle Big Tent GOP. With his every post, he shows how little he values American sovereignty, secure borders, American culture, customs, traditions and the English language. In short, he cannot be considered a loyal American conservative.
NOW THAT IS, IN REALITY, THE TRUTH.
There are a multitude of polls that show the opposite
truth is not measured by polls.
It is objective, not subjective.
Precisely.
We incarcerate one for every time you ask this question, and we have gotten rid of about 20 million of them.
"Wow. Pointing out that some people want to have the sort of police state that the Soviet Union had is now suddenly "treason."
Nice try but that doesen't answer the question I asked.
This poll was commissioned by an organization with a vested interest in having a poll turn out the way this one did.
And, you're right. This is the ONLY poll that favors the passage of the House bill exclusively.
That ought to be a clue as to its veracity.
Hey...more than one brand ain't a bad thing John.
So just what is the status of HR4437? We all seem to agree that monday's protests lit the fire under the public's ass to support this bill, but what is the congress doing.....Right now? And how long before it could go into effect? I'm not very well versed on the time table the congress uses, assuming it's passed, when can we enforce it?
HR4437 will never become law without some provision for a guest worker program, at the least, or a path to citizenship program.
