All the LEGAL immigrants and (white, evil) Americans in my neighborhood get along very well, Patti.

You get the impression that Miss--it is "Miss," isn't it?--Davis seems to think that all immigrants, since she makes no distinction between legal and illegal, are made up of one subgroup of Mexicans. Most of the recent legal immigrants that I deal with in professional and social life are not even Hispanic. We get along quite well, especially the African immigrants.

There's a real mix of LEGAL immigrants in my neighborhood, too, and life is very normal and friendly everyday. I always chuckle at these leftwing loons who try to portray Middle America as some all-white bastion of xenophobic racism.

Some countries I can immediately count as represented are: Japan, Philippines, India, Mexico, Canada, Columbia, Taiwan, Korea, China, and Puerto Rico.
