Some conservatives, like the wolves, are concerned about many legitimate issues but would sacrifice or compromise the "illegal alien" issue in the name of party unity.
Other conservatives, like the pig, consider the "illegal alien" issue to be the 'premier issue' and if we lose it, we lose all the others as well.
Didn't say it was a good analogy. Just what popped into my head when I read your statement. ;)
Okay, I guess I see your point about the connection, but I don't know that I agree that Republicans will vote Republican for the sake of party unity. I see vastly more important reasons than that.
