She works as a cleaning woman. Yeah that high income profession pays a ton of taxes, considering the poverty level is $24k. You betcha. Keep trying to convince me you are paying more taxes than you are sucking up. Convince me your child is not on every social service program we have, expecially since you feel so entitled.

This winch likely gets earned income credit.

This is something I argue with a lot of Americans about. They pay a few dollars in sales tax and think they pay taxes. Most employers pay more tax (social security, Medicare, Workman's comp., unemployment...) on these employees than the employees do.
