"I was watching a program that concluded that the Apocalypse should have happened between 1901 and 1945 based on natural disasters and world events. It didn't, so I guess we can all sleep at night."

People have been predicting the apocaolypse for over 2000 years now. So far, not sign of it. Yet, earthquakes happen every day. There's always a war somewhere.

It seems to me like some folks are hoping for the end times. That'll get rid of all the pesky people they don't like, doncha know.

Didn't Saint Paul believe HE was living in the end times? LOL

No, the end times are just that THE END. There is no Kingdom/rule of Christ on earth for one thousand years coming, we have already lived it, and it's coming to an end. In fact it lasted almost 2000 years, and began during the Pentecost 70 years after Christ crucification. There are always some that speculate when these end time will come, but the bible is clear that certain events have to happen before it does. by most accounts, we are at the "great revolt" stage. When Christs Church is destroyed, then you will know that there are few days left. Before that happens, all of Europe and the mid-east will be under the beasts control, and there will have been a nasty war(s) We in America will have taken a pounding as well, and will have lost all influence in Europe and the ME by that time as well. If your interested in some prophecy about this, go here. I know you don't aspire to biblical stuff, but it's an interesting read anyway. The Last Days of Babylon

Not my perspective.

Would be more reasonable from my perspective if you had written:

"So far, no sign of it that I'm willing to acknowledge."

To me, there are signs all over the place unparalleled in all recorded history.
