It fits perfectly the definition for evolution if you believe in it. To believe in it, moreover, is to have faith in it.

Sorry to have to disagree with you on the definition, but scientists do not "believe" in their data and theories. They accept them because of the evidence. If new fossil evidence or new DNA evidence comes up, all but a few older diehards will follow the new evidence. "Belief" and "faith" have nothing to do with it. The closest I can think of would be trust in the scientific method. It has been steering us in ever more productive directions for a couple of hundred years.
One of the main reasons "faith" does not apply is the definition:
Faith: the belief in something for which there is no material evidence or empirical proof...This has nothing to do with the theory of evolution, which is based entirely on facts and theories (i.e., evidence). And there is a lot of evidence! Did you think the theory of evolution was the result of divine revelation, that it has "no material evidence"? It is getting to the point where the evidence for evolution fills multiple floors of major university libraries.
I think the source of our disagreement is that you are basing your approach on a religious belief, and the theory of evolution does not agree with your belief. Therefore, you feel you must attack it to reinforce your belief.
Fine, I have no problem with that. But please don't call what you do science.
