It is not the time for the Taiwanese to make a stink. As others have said, Realpolitik requires some unpleasantness at times.

Of course, you are right, given the immediate situation with Iran. But it's truly unfortunate that we have allowed our stature in the world to degenerate as we have. No nation should be able to hold influence over who our leaders can choose to interact with.

Yes. Perhaps it will send a message to Chen to knock off the independence rhetoric. Or, at least, give a slight boost to Mayor Ma and the KMT.

Here's another headline today:

L.A. police cower to illegals

To save time and money the newspapers just need to make a few changes to the same headline.

L.A. police White House cower(s) to illegals Hu Jintao and China

See how you can save expenses on writers today if you're a news organization? Its easy. Its great being such close friends to communist dictators, isn't it? Its much more efficient, don't you think?

Silly me. I guess I was mistaken when I believed all the bullstuff about "moral leadership" returning to the White House after the Clinton infestation was ended. You know, that quaint thing about right and wrong, good and evil. Hey, anything to get another vote.

By the way, do you get paid to carry the President's water all the time or is it just some bizarre hobby/fetish thing?
