Just think, if it wasn't for the fact that Jimma Carter left the Shah of Iran to hang out and dry and didn't support him when he desperately need US support, we would not be talking about this let alone the last 25 year of hell for the Iranian people.

Well-stated. While it's true that the Shah himself left a great deal to be desired, those who overthrew him turned out to be even worse.

Jimmy Carter's foreign policy was one failure after another, and his Iran policy is the most egregious.
