Exactly. If anyone can claim that this land was originally theirs, it's the Native Americans who lived in what is now the western US. I'm still trying to find some speck of rational thought in the claims that a bunch of people of Central American/Spanish descent have some hereditary claim to any part of the US.

...and they still do. I vacationed in Northern AZ last year and it sure was apparent that the Native Americans pretty much ran the show.
