I see the worst response as parents trying to "beat the gay" out of their kids. I've known several gay guys to whom this has happened -- I'm talking closed fist, heavy work boot beatings.

I think parents who "celebrate" their children's aberrant sexual lifestyles do just as much damage.

There is no indication in this article that Dick Cheney celebrates his daughter's homosexuality. If he did, I would question his good judgment.
