sink you have a problem. God isn't just love. God also judges man. He sent His son to die for us. He took our sins upon himself and it was so awful that God couldn't even look at Him. Jesus cried out and asked :My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Mans sin was so awful that God couldn't bear to see it. Sending His son was love. But it also screams of mans sin. Without repentance, without forgiveness, that sin clings to us and God cannot bear the sight of it.

I join EternalVigilance in congratulating you on that post, especially the line
"I just want you to be happy" are the words of weakness, not love.
Sounds like Cheney never did outgrow the Woodstock lovefest mentality (Was he there? I know he wasn't in Vietnam -- he was too busy obtaining deferments.)

I ask again (since you did not answer the question): your criteria for determinimg what is and is not God's word is....?
Give me a direct quote.
According to I Timothy 3:16 (and 2 Peter 3:14-16 which equates Paul's writings with 'the other scriptures') I did give a direct quote...

God isn't just love.Yes He is. Everything you mention flows from His infinite love for His creation.
As far as God not being able to see sin, that's false. Jesus became sin; He was as the scapegoat that the Jews loaded their sins on and sent out into the desert.
God hates sin, but He has conquered it. Through love. Everything about God always gets back to love.

Not the impression. The certainty. Then you are certainly contradicting Holy Scripture.
You are experiencing the exact meaning of what Christ was talking about when he said "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a man's foes will be they of his own household."

She's already milked attention from that old controversy to sell her book.
Funny, since it was the media, not Keyes, who brought her name up. Her beef should be with them for using her for their purposes in that situation and in the presidential election.
But that wouldn't sell books, I suppose.
Mary Cheney, the daughter and campaign manager of Vice President Dick Cheney whose identity as a lesbian became an issue in the presidential campaign, has sold the rights to a memoir to Simon & Schuster for an advance of about $1 million, according to two people involved in the negotiations. (NY Times)
The publisher said Cheney will take a shot at "buffoonish" Republican Alan Keyes, who labeled her a "selfish hedonist." (New York Daily News)
And the truth wouldn't have sold papers, either. Here's the other side of the story (which the media ignored):
Alan Keyes teaches sex education lesson to homosexual interviewer

I must have missed the posts in which people were advocating "casting" homosexual children out of their lives. Although I did read comments of social liberals accusing some of that using straw man arguments.

Man, are you going to be surprised when you see the expression on His face the second time he comes around. How do you know? You spend your life hoping that the stock market goes in the tank.
I can't help but believe that that pessimism colors your view of God as well.

Yeah, deferments because he was raising a family. "Dedicated students of obstetrics will observe that Elizabeth Cheney's birth date falls precisely nine months and two days after the Selective Service publicly revoked its policy of not drafting childless husbands"

Do you think it's possible, though, that we don't know what's in the hearts of others, or what transpires between them and God? Only God would know the true heart of a person, right?

Negative, negative, negative. That's your nature, Bear.
By dwelling on this Vietnam thing, methinks you must have some Democrat in your bones.
