What about Allen being a part of W's good Ol boy crew which orchestrated the largest expansion of government in our countries history? They have beaten out the far left in terms of expanding government and squandering tax payer money.

He might be a good guy but we can't afford the next POTUS's main qualification is being a "good guy". Real leaders take it to there enemies and even to their friends to accomplish the hard things that need to be done. Thats why I like Rudy. And as EV say's he will make his choice on his own time. I may differ but I respect what he is fighting for ...a real Social conservative.
What I want is some one who has the guts to take down K Street, tackle entitlements and bring this behemoth Federal budget to it's knees....Like Rudy took down the mob..kicked Arafat on his ass,,, told that Saudi to stuff 12 mill up his...tried to cut off fed funds for the endowment of the arts for paying for Maddana covered with dung. Guts and leadership.

I like "good old boys" if they're the real deal and not just political drug store cowboys. But your points about spending are certainly on the mark.

Sorry man. You're kidding yourself if you think any moderate to liberal Republican is ever gonna do that stuff. I've seen it time and again. They talk tough, but when push comes to shove, they're just as liberal on fiscal matters as on anything else. Think Christie Todd Whitman.
