Lee Harris is incredible. His pieces after 9/11 were well-written and innovative (which is hard to do in the world of punditry and social commentary.)
I disagree with him on one thing: I prefer American music to Latin and feel it's far more exciting than most Latin music. And since 'pizza'(as we know it) and many other dishes are American, I prefer that too. I could live without burritos or paella if I had to.
I don't care for most Latin music. I love one Argentine rock band from the 80s and 90s, Soda Stereo. But their sound is hardly "latino." And I liked Selena.
But both Latin and American music today is dreadful.
I could not live without burritos and salsa. But that's just me.
