How do you think the Moors got into southern Europe? Tourism visas? El Cid might argue with you if he were around.
Do the words,"...to the shores of Tripoli" mean anything?
That reluctance you feel is exactly what keeps these guys going.
Just as when we defeated Nazism, once we get rid of enough of them, the rest will give up their beliefs in this socio/political abomination. The threat of annihilation kept the Soviets from taking over the West. Islam does not believe that we will do it to them and so does what it does. They think we are weak. We need to show our power, fortitude and will to do just that in order to dissuade them of this assumption.

I do not deny at all that there was a period of Muslim expansion which led the Moors to the gates of Vienna, just like there was Christian expansion (with the Roman Empire) to the same area of the Mediterranean and as far as India. And I am aware of the Barbary pirates heritage and Muslim lineage. HOWEVER: not ALL Muslims want to kill us; any more than all Christians want to kill Muslims. I AGREE with you about the Islamo-Fascists--we must give and will get no quarter from them. However, any situation which compels us to kill 1.3 billion people cannot be a viable option. I believe that by killing the Active Enemy, the Islamo-Fascists, that will result in the defeat of what one might call 'jihadic Islam'.
