Just like back in the 60's and 70's when you'd get a few radicals (commies) getting the students riled up even more. Get a few to start throwing rocks and lighting fires and the mob mentality takes over. Then the cops react, "innocent" protesters get hurt - and now the public opinion (or at least the MSM) is on the protesters' side.
