The Supreme Court didn't strike down Prop 187.

Judge Marianne Pfaelzer sat on the Proposition until Pete Wilson left office, and then struck a deal with Gray Davis guaranteeing that he wouldn't appeal her decision to a higher court.

One judge and one Democrat Governor overturned the decision of California's voters. It was a truly disgusting attack on democracy by a couple of elitists, and one that was eagerly embraced by the Open Borders wing of the GOP.

You are correct. However, the problem in 2001 was if this case had gotten to the Supreme Court it would have been turned back or our side would have lost in the court.

So Davis and Pfaelzer and the Rats cooked up this scheme and deal to conveniently kill it. That would not happen today.
