Why this new minimalism in war?

I do not believe that we see ourselves as "fighting for our very survival." We say the platitudes, but we really don't think that the Islamofacists will really change our way of life like Hitler would have.

If we ever come to the point where the populace believes that our survival is threatened, expect the bombs to rain over ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE the terrorists may be hiding!

Do you believe our survival is threatened? I think it is;
I believe the Islamofascists' goal is to take over the US (and Europe), but they are patient and careful, so we are lulled into a false sense of security. Also, their plan may be to make us topple "from within".

We see ourselves as disciplining adolescents, not fighting adults for our lives.
