Just did. Strictly answering machine only. I left a message for Steve somebody, left my number and asked him to call me back.

I may be wrong, but I'm sensing here they may have already had enough complaints about Valdez to last them a lifetime. Probably no call back, but we'll see. If I don't hear back this afternoon, I'll try again in the morning.

I'm very, very disappointed in KTTV/Channel 11.

Here's the email I sent them yesterday:

"News Director:

Fox Channel 11 has done a very unbalanced job in reporting on the illegal alien (not "immigrants") demonstrations cluttering up our streets, obstructing traffic and clogging our cities. Ordinary Americans are fed up to the teeth with illegal aliens.

Like CBS, NBC and ABC, virtually every one of your reports--especially on Good Day LA--comes across as a cheering section for the illegal aliens. If the other side is presented--rare--it is so brief as to go unnoticed. While we expect CBS, NBC and ABC to operate as the hallelujah chorus for the illegal aliens, we always expect more from Fox. Unfortunately, Channel 11 at least might as well be televising from Mexico. Here's a hint: your audience is not composed entirely--or even a majority--of Mexicans, Guatemalans, Salvadorans, or the rest of the lawbreaking dreck that comes here illegally from south of the border.

Quit lining up with the illegal aliens and, for once, start giving the other side of the issue. You know the one: this is a nation that believes in the rule of law; we have to strictly enforce our immigration laws; "undocumented immigrant" means "illegal alien"; those kinds of facts. They're right there and not at all hard to find; if you want to, that is.

We'll be watching to see if you ever become "fair and balanced" on the illegal alien issue. If you do, we'll be quite astonished. /s/"
