But the fairy (sprite, elf, pixie, whatever) was turning everything into pastels. The train ended up multicolored. These guys are just itching to whine about something, anything, to get the spotlight on them and their agenda.

If you noticed, the complaint resorted to citing code words in the case of the fairy "double-entendre." Just like how "welfare" means "poor, black people" or "illegals" means "Mexicans."
This would seem like some exaggerated right-wing rant had I not learned it in college psychology as an undergrad. Liberals, particularly in the social sciences, tend to look for code everywhere. What guides them is the presupposition that there is bigotry, intolerance, prejudice, etc., hidden in our thoughts, words, and actions. If there's one thing that I've learned, it is that the ones in charge of deciphering the code are the guilty party.
