I agree. For days both sides will be endlessly spinning today. I actually though the demonstrations last month had more of a gotcha quality image wise. It appears to me that many Hispanic groups were successful in getting the message out about how to handle this or in fact not to Boycott. Its seems Denver was one of the few places where the numbers hit expectations or exceeded them. On the whole, there were no violence or riots. The crowds were orderly. I have seen more exciting protest on c-span at the National mall. On the whole what does it do to either side momentum? I think its a wash.

I actually though the demonstrations last month had more of a gotcha quality image wise. I think the immigrant community is tired: tired of the attention, tired of the bullying by the professional protesters, tired of being the focus of so much animus.
This is the end of the protests. I don't think today's is going to amount to a hill of beans one way or the other because it was basically a dud.

n the whole what does it do to either side momentum? I think its a wash. I am sorry but the demonstrations were not a "wash". They demonstrated quite nicely that we CAN get along without ILLEGALS working in this country. They didn't prove their point, which was the whole idea of the boycott to start with. Failing to prove their point means they lost out with their stupid boycott AND they irritated the hell out of most people I know. No wash here.
