The true excitement of the night is in Ohio though. I'm getting restless! :)
There will be a vote dump in about 10 minutes. They are holding votes back until some polls close in Cleveland at 9:30 pm est.
It will probably take days to count the Wilson write in vote though. Granted, it can be inferred with a lot of work.
Mike Dewine 3,215 78.45% David Smith 479 11.69% William Pierce 404 9.86%
These first votes are, amusingly, from Bob Ney's CD (OH-18), as Coshocton County has reported its 43 precincts. Ney is ahead roughly 70%-30%.
Torie,
could you be so kind as to provide the link to the Secretary of State webpage, or wherever you're getting these counts from?
And... if Taylor wins re-election before the indictments come down, and then has to step down, would there be a special election, or would Gov. Easley (who's a Democrat) appoint a Congressman? I dunno NC election law. (Heck, I don't know any election law).
d.o.l.
Criminal Number 18F
any guesses right now on Wilson?
There isn't much at all reported yet, but Zach Space is winning the OH-18 D primary, fwiw. That'd be an interesting twist, and I'd seen a couple articles in recent days saying that internal polls showed him in far better position than had been thought.
With half of one county reported at the SoS website:
Wilson, Charles A.(WI) - 966 - 69.20%
Carr, Bob - 310 - 22.21%
Luchansky, John S. - 120 - 8.60%
btt
hopefully not a trend.
Mike Nifong DEM 11,168 Freda Black DEM 10,269 Keith A. Bishop DEM 3,288
Bob McEwen is well ahead of Jean Schmidt:
McEwen, Bob - 4,273 - 51.54%
Schmidt, Jean - 3,359 - 40.51%
Kraus, Deborah A. - 384 - 4.63%
Constable, James E. - 275 - 3.32%
With two counties and half of another complete.
At the moment Wilson is getting a higher percentage than the GOP frontrunner, who actually qualified for the ballot..
Blasdel, Chuck - 442 - 55.18%
Harmon, Danny - 218 - 27.22%
Ginter, Tim - 87 - 10.86%
Stobbs, Richard D. - 54 - 6.74%
Anything from Claremont (sp)?
Not on the SoS website. The counties reported are Adams, Brown, and 57% of Scioto. The Cincinnati Enquirer gives the same total figures and says that's 393 of 753 precincts, which would be 52.19%.
It's all from three counties east of Clermont that went for Hackett.
