My son cannot get a job on a farm, landscaping or any type of work like this around here.

Up my way .. I've noticed the kids are not very reliable and that is way many don't hire them

Another thing I noticed is .. alot of folks just like to keep up with the Jones and follow what others do

I had a kid in my neighborhood a few years back cut my front lawn .. even though I could do it myself and save money

I did it because he was a good kid and was trying to make some many for the summer

That is true also. Too many parents indulge their kids. My son wants to make money. People don't even hire kids for lawns here anymore. They don't need to now. It's frustrating for him. He will work but he would rather be outside doing labor than at a cashier.

There are places here the illegals gather in the morning and wait for people to come and hire them for the day.
