Please, state exactly what they are, there's enough lies and misnomers from the msm.

On a related topic...

My father owns a small business. He has one hispanic employee. He is concerned as to whether the guy is legal or not. He does not want to break the law. They guy has a SSN (but that proves nothing.) I can see the situation from the business owner's point of view. How can one be certain of not hiring illegals?

I think that is a problem, because Im under the impression that there's not ALOT a business owner can do without the risk of a lawsuit. HOWEVER if business owners were really interested in not hiring illegal aliens, they would be banding together and demanding the govt make it easier for them to check.

Does the guy speak English? Does his family speak English? Does he send money back to Mexico? Does he have a real SS card or did he just give your father a ramdom number? Not so helpful, but does he have a driver's license? When your father hired him, did he do a criminal record check? He could do a people search online (small fee) for the employee. Can't he call SS and ask if there's any problem with the SS number? Does the guy travel to Mexico regularly? Sitting over coffee, your dad can turn conversations to where he was born, how he grew up, etc. If he suspects the guy is illegal, then odds are he is. It's not that difficult to figure out if someone is illegal.
