I especially like their contribution to disease, viz., AIDS.

Or their contribution to child rape. (NAMBLA)

Or how about their contribution to strengthen the traditional family unit?

Or........

Yes, will the negative aspects of homosexuality be discussed, such as the very SHORT average lifespan of gay men?

This should makes text books more interesting reading.

"The first Territorial Governor, who strictly had sex with women only, nominated an easterner, who liked women but was known to have a fondness for small animals as well, who was re soundly defeated by the first state Speaker, who although heterosexual became aroused by wearing womens under garments beneath his suit. Eventually the post went to a native Californian who liked little boys.

As long as it is forced to cite their contributions to the Catholic church and to the Health care system.

The bill will only allow for positive contributions, and that doesn't meaning testing positive. Californians care more about getting freebies from the government than they do about developing moral character and virtue in their own children.

Gay contributions:

AIDS
More virulent strains of other STDs that are resistent to antibiotics
Moral degeneration

Why is a person's sexual alignment relevant to their accomplishments? I don't think I've ever seen a history textbook mention the alignment of historical HETROSEXUALS. Obviously someone is pushing their agenda here.

How about ending the ban on any mention or depiction of the traditional family. You remember - A husband, wife and children...

They have been outlawed

Negative? Imagine how much more damage they could inflict if they lived as long as heterosexual men.

Right. Geesh, if they have made a contribution it wasn't BECAUSE they were gay . . . agenda pushing is getting old isn't it? (sigh)

Why not mention just their name and what they did to deserve recognition? Why do we have to know what they do in bed?

Obviously someone is pushing their agenda here.

Yup, and that's exactly the issue. There's no evidence of an exclusion of gay historical figures from current teaching. The contributions of gays have been getting the same treatment as the contributions of non-gays. In other words, sexual identity isn't mentioned and the contribution is examined on its own merits. In operation, this bill would require the irrelevant introduction of the sexuality of gay historical figures into the examination of their works. Sheila doesn't want equality of treatment, she wants special treatment. Consider it educational affirmative action.

Another example of the sick, mindless, stupidity of the left. The libs cannot accomplish any of their perverted criminal agenda unless BY JUDICIAL FIAT. They must FORCE thier sickness on society. This says it all.

Those interested will find Sheila's bill here.

http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/pub/bill/sen/sb_1401-1450/sb_1437_bill_20060328_amended_sen.html

and Dennis's bill here.

http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/pub/bill/asm/ab_2301-2350/ab_2311_bill_20060222_introduced.html

Dennis, by the way, is quite good at pointing up the left's illogic. Last week, upon hearing that they're going to shut down the legislature so that they can go to Monday's open borders demonstration, Dennis suggested bringing a bunch of "undocumented" former legislators to sit in for them. He figured the left wouldn't mind, since they don't think documentation matters.

Needless to say, California's legislative socialist coalition failed to see the humor.

"State Sen. Sheila Kuehl"

I thought California had term limits. This woman never seems to go away.

The text books don't matter. The kids can't read them in either English or Spanish, anyway. Will she be truly PC and require mention of Hispanic lesbians?
