The barbarity that is inherent to Islam is the reason that any hopes of "negotiating" with them is pointless. It is impossible to have diplomatic discourse with a group which places absolutely no value on human life.
This is hideous. Anyone who would do that to a child over an accident doesn't take prayer very seriously.
In view of this type of conduct in the Islamic world, the prospects for peace with them in the future are not encouraging.
