Colbert, who spoke in the guise of his talk show character, who ostensibly supports the president strongly, urged the Bush to ignore his low approval ratings, saying they were based on reality, “and reality has a well-known liberal bias.”

Which begs the question. Jokes are supposed to be funny, not heavy-handed political commentary.

Also lampooning the press, Colbert complained that he was “surrounded by the liberal media who are destroying this country, except for Fox News. Fox believes in presenting both sides of the story — the president’s side and the vice president’s side."

He almost hit upon something there. Fox isn't the sole bastion of truth in a world of left-leaning MSM bias. But who thinks that way at this point?

He also reflected on the alleged good old days, when the media was still swallowing the WMD story.

Yeah, because nobody in the press second guessed that Hussein had biological, chemical, or nuclear weapons prior to March, 2003, did they?

Did the DU write Colbert's material?

(Colbert) who ostensibly supports the president strongly...

Anything nice Colbert says about President Bush or conservatives is simply part of his act.

He's been a strident lib for years, or so I read on several entertainment websites.
