Anyone who studies the timeline can see a direct parallel to the emergence of the Minutemen movement and the current state of legislative turmoil; certainly, it made a difference and only a fool would laugh it off.

What is distressing is not the taunts of our critics but the reluctance of our leaders to acknowledge that this is a genuine grassroots effort to solve a real and growing problem.

My younger brother is a screaming left wing moon bat liberal type who makes Randi Rhodes seem reasonable by comparison. The one subject we agree on is this one.

The Republicans are whistling past the graveyard if they think this is an issue which won't come back to haunt them in November. It's already cost them my vote in the IL Gubernatorial race, and it may cost them my votes in 2008.
