It's a remarkable achievement considering how many people on FR claim they've supported the RNC in the past but refuse to now...in fact if you Google the RNC doesn't appear to be having any problems raising funds.

Not yet. It is early though.

I don't know but this non investor class conservative will be voting conservative if it means writing my own name in. The way things are going I have about as much chance of winning as the GOP.

I keep saying that I will vote Dem in order to get rid of the big spenders but in reality, there is no way I could ever vote for someone who is pro-abortion. I will hold my nose and vote libertarian this year.

No, I'm just a realist. Been through too many races to not be.

Wall Street knows better than that. They just want to send the money to real conservatives. A message needs to be sent to the Republican party in 2006.

Realist? You really should do some Googling then. RNC fundraising is steaming along fine. Even NewsMax has interesting stories on it. Now with the First Lady hitting the fundraising trail things are even picking up.

Yes, it's probably nothing. These close the border folks are just the usual malcontents and kooks, like those Perot folks from sometime back. Just ignore them and all will be well. :^)

I hopt the republicans can earn enough votes to keep power. But I know of many conservatives who are abandoning the party over immigratin and spending.\. My brother and father are two.

Than they better start acting like conservatives once again and stop supporting the dem libs. And not to pass the dems bills like the martinez/kennedy(Mccain/Specter) bill.

Prove to us they still believe in American values and enforce our laws!

Yes, every election more and more people abandon the RNC for one excuse or another, just like those people who have stopped contributing to the RNC for one reason or another.

I personally don't know any conservatives who have decided to cut of their noses to spite their faces...but I do see the people who have done it before doing it again on FR.

President Bush got the votes of 61 percent of investors in 2004, but now only 43 percent give him a favorable job approval rating...

Heck, these days that's Bushbot territory!

I fear if the GOP loses power, it could be the end for them. With control of congress, the Dems will make it possible for every illegal to quickly become a citizen (or at least vote). Unfortunetly I don't think Bush would veto such a bill. This will likely give them a permanent majority.

Of course, the Republicans deserve what they get for sticking their head in the sand on this issue for the last few decades (starting with Reagan). Now it may bury them. I will NOT vote for any of the self described "statesman" who are pushing immigration "reform".

Investors Fleeing GOP

Count me in!

I'll continue to donate to individuals but the GOP won't get my money anytime soon.

I was decent enough to call the RNC and ask them to stop sending me letters....and told them why!

If the GOP has to learn the hard way....so be it!

They are out of touch with the regular folks out there.

I don't see any evidence in this that investors have become more enamored with Democrats nor do I see any evidence in this of investors being upset with Bush regarding their investments.
