But I thought that a proposal was to keep cameras in the press conferences to a minimum? It's only a recent development that all press conferences/briefings are televised (I think-- not sure)

I always like seeing good material, since funny stuff on SNL is such a rarity anymore.
I believe they are on C-SPAN...but probably not at the same time every day like a regularly scheduled TV or radio show. The hosts/hostesses will really have to be on their toes to hear any announcements about a presser.

Yes, it does. And Tony is definitely diamond material. I think that a Monthly "Cheers to Press Sectretary Tony Snow" thread would be welcome by all! It would help keep the Snowflakes together till he is back with us in two-three years. Good idea!
Let's see now.......after an eight year, all-out barrage of negative "news" stories, partisan political attacks framed as op-eds, forgeries, push polls, slander and whatever assorted garbage the DNC and their pimps in the MSM found available, we are now advised by that very same group of people that the "Bush legacy is shot" and Republicans are on their way to defeat in the next election.
Seems to me that I've heard exactly the same line of crap out of exactly the same people before, and it always seemed to come at just about this time of the election cycle.
I've got congressional candidates around my part of the country who will only admit to being Democrat if you threaten them with blunt objects and claim to be "bipartisan" as their highest calling in life.
No, I don't trust any of 'em as far as I could throw them.
But I'm not the one who is standing around here, waving a NYSlime headline about the death of Bush/Republicans, either.
If the dims want to go whistle for wind again, I'm just going to decline to participate. Again.
