Plus he is too freaking old for POTUS. McCain will be 72 in '08. Reagan was 73 when he started his 2nd term. Was the Gipper "too freaking old" as well?

Ya, he probably was. But electing a septuagenarian for a first term, is a bit different than reelecting one, with an awesome record of success, as Reagan had in his first term, which sealed his legacy as a top tier president, even among many liberal historians, however much they hate that. Plus Reagan had as his opponent, for his second term, Mondale. You member him don't you? What did he have to really offer, to enhance the public square, and the American experiment? Buying off 50% plus one of special interests who want subsidies does not a shining hill make.
