"He [Michael Graham] also mentioned my abridgement of First Amendment rights, i.e. talking about campaign finance reform....I know that money corrupts....I would rather have a clean government than one where quote First Amendment rights are being respected, that has become corrupt. If I had my choice, I'd rather have the clean government."

Personally, I'd rather have clean government than have John McCain.

I wrote CAGW years ago to tell them as long as McPain was their spokesman, they'd get no more $ from me.

"Watch the mccainacs try and spin this one away.."
I'm gonna have to rethink my earlier statements that I'd vote McCain over Hillary for President in 2008.
They are like two different brands of poison.
They good news is a quote like this will make him unelectable in the GOP primary. It's over the top.

I believe that quote should be cause for being tossed from the Senate and he should never be allowed to serve in government again.

He took an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution, that sounds like he won't do it. Sounds worthy of impeachment. You'd think that refusing to support and defend, after taking an oath to do so, would at least be a high misdemeanor... but in the law, it's not. There is no penalty for violation of the oath of office. Except that provided by the people at the polls, but the people of Arizona seem loath to apply that penalty to the McCainiac.

Read about how McPain tried to ban mixed martial arts because of the boxing money he gets.

More than that, now that the truth is out, we can use this to lobby Congress to repeal CFR. Why would Congressional incumbents repeal the Incumbent Protection Act, especially after the Men (and women) In Black sprinkled their holy water over almost all of it?

I would rather have a clean government than one where quote First Amendment rights are being respected Interesting that he, like the "honest" gun grabbers, openly admit their proposals and actions are in violation of the Bill of Rights.
Claire! Is it time yet?

Governor Mitt Romney has signed into law a permanent assault weapons ban that he says will make it harder for criminals to get their hands on these guns. Fails my only litmus test. Politicians who don't trust the People with arms are not to be trusted, not even for dogcatcher.

McCain is an honorable and honest man. I will not stand silent, when some suggest otherwise An honest and honorable man does not break oaths that he has sworn. He swore to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, but now has openly and admittedly become one of them.

Thanks for the reply. It's a shame our elected officials can't be held legally to their oaths, the voters seem to be too easily swayed by spin when the time comes for reelection.

"The real import of McCain-Feingold is that only objective journalism is qualified to criticize anyone. And after journalism has criticized someone, the target of journalism's criticism has to undergo self-criticism and become purified like John McCain."Yes. It's a rotten Kabuki that's become enmeshed in McCrisis psyche, due to his torture by the VC. Ritual purifying after forced confession. Truly, truly scary.

"This really doesn't fit in to any discussion of RKBA, because an airline pilot is for all intents and purposes "the captain of his ship", e.g., "The Law" for the duration of the flight. Allowing airline pilots to be armed is "pro-RKBA" only in the sense that allowing the police to be armed is "pro-RKBA" -- in other words, not at all."I suggest you contact Virginia's NRA Institute for Legislative Action with your concern.
To: Torie
Predicting a tie is dumber than *******. And of course it didn't take you half a page to parrot Susan Estrich "thinks Kerry has Florida in the bag". You and Susan are in the bag.
But you were wrong then, and you were wrong about McCrisis, just like you're wrong about everything else. I'm schadenfreuding your bizarre attachment to Mitt Somnoly at the moment...
