I have to say I dont know much about the 'New Left'. I will have to do some reading on it.
Russian influence in Academia? I dont know, although of course many universities do openly espouse liberal policies. I have ahd a few profs who are openly pacifist or socialist. To be fair, I was able to sound out most of the nonsense propaganda, but then I'm a Centrist, so dont really believe in sides.
