You are so right--the President's 'performance' was brilliant.
Colbert's calculated "act" was a Bush-bashing, say-it-in-the-President's-face attack. His intention was to embarrass and humiliate the President knowing that he had a captive audience.
It was contemptible!
I've watched Jon Stewart, Jay Leno and David Letterman joke about the President and be funny.
This was a complete bomb at every single level. He was horrible!
So you think the White House is sooo out of touch that they had no idea Colbert was a vicious hate-filled liberal? In other words, they were tricked into this? That's a pretty big assumption.
