The detail of what composition of units do not help the enemy.

\I am speechless. Are you serious?

Yes I was. The info on that seal and rangers make up the units was info the enemy already has. I do think that that info in the article was unneeded detail.

The point I tried to make is that the American people need to hear stories of our success and efforts to eliminate the enemy . The greater battle is to maintain support for the Iraq effort and the mission. Without positive stories about out successes then we will lose the greater war of maintaining the will to pursue the elimination of the culture that uses terrorist tactics that grab mainline media attention to their causes.

The battle to gain the heart and minds of Iraqi's is part of that. And to reinforce the idea that screwing with Americans will bring Hell to those pirates, fanatics. The greater battle is in th US media and peoples minds and hearts here. Without that support we are all toast.

So the greater good is stories is such as this and the lesser cost is unneeded detail.
Most of which the enemy already knows.

Battle of Order info is important in set armies but since the composition of our forces is well known, I do not think it gave the enemy an advantage. Listing specific locations or personnel names would have done that. This article did not do that.
