Political Quiz -- The Pasadena Pundit

What foreign country:

1. Is run by eight "Caesars" each of whom can set their own policies at cross purposes with the others or even its President? 2. Is trying to establish state-funded private business enterprises much like the Fascists did in Italy in WWII era and colonial era nations did with Mercantilism? . 3. Is run by a cabal of five elected leaders who usurp 102 legislators, effectively burning down the "Reichstag" (legislature). 4. Each of its eight "Caesars" run their own show and thus has an incentive to run budget deficits year-after-year. 5. The labor unions have such great power that they have refused to carry out laws passed by two-thirds of the voters and the feckless courts have done nothing about it (e.g., capitol punishment). 6. Takes private property and then compensates landowners at the property's lowest and worst use while upzoning it for use by political cronies and union businesses for its highest and best use; by environmental regulations transfers the wealth from owners of vacant lands to nearby homeowners to maintain open space views without just compensation. 7. Is evolving into a fully socialized state where health care, transportation, education, child care, and social services are subsidized by the state, mainly for "guest laborers," to reduce labor costs on corporations, thus resulting in lower wages and rendering the middle class obsolete. 8. Allows the legislature to invade public retirement trust funds to finance private ventures by cronies (crony capitalism). 9. Public education has essentially become an exercise in political propaganda and brainwashing, even at the university level. 10. Set price controls on electricity through an "independent system operator" who is anything but independent of politicians. Nationalized (re-regulated) electricity in 2000-011 but called it "deregulation." 11. Hypocritically many of its cities have passed motions against sending their young to the Middle East to fight resource wars for oil, while contemporaneously banning off-shore oil drilling, LNG terminals, and more hydropower plants which possibly would avoid such wars. 12. The media can be likened to the entertainment world of pro-wrestling. The referee (the media) wears a striped shirt and casts a blind eye on flagrant fouls or faked fighting. Of course, the referees are in on the fix. They won't tell you how the game of politics is played, nor who wins and who loses.

It's time to reduce the level of power.

Unless you have a better way, call in the firing squad!

Evocation of a mythical middle class entitled to uncompetitive wages is so French.
