IMHO, too late to turn things around. He has had his chance and blown it...let's see, how can a president expect to be popular, especially with conservatives, when...he spends like a liberal, ignores the majority will of the people, backstabs his own party, performs as a hypocrite when it comes to securing the U.S. (9/11 response versus wide open borders), supports illegal immigrants and panders to their governments, fails at reforming social security, hands government education over to the liberals (Kennedy, et al), conspires with the liberal enemy (that backstabs him) to generate an illegal immigrant amnesty bill....and if it had not been for his SCOTUS appointments (one of which had to be corrected) -- he would be marked as an almost complete domestic failure.

How can he expect to be popular?? -- especially after nearly two terms in the Oval Office and a majority Congress to go along with it?

Good post. The best we can hope now is that Bush is too weak to shove his hideous amnesty betrayal down our throats, but not so weak that he drags the GOP congressional majorities down his failure hole.

Because from what we've seen of Bush, he'll turn right around after being impeached (but not convicted) to embrace the new Democratic Congress as a "fresh partner" in bringing about his precious Mexico-merger.

Your right...so am I Ha.

Stick a fork in him. This W's lame duck is cooked. There will be no fence built. There will be no progress on entitlements, no tort reform, no tax reform, no progress on school vouchers. Sad it was in our hands...
Maybe he can get ANWR......

But at this point we will prolly lose the House and the best W will be able to do is not get impeached.

Maybe one 6 year term is the answer.
