Personally, I think it's far worse when a citizen of this nation deliberately butchers our Anthem...and when their fellow citizens say nothing about it.

I can think of many instances of outrage over mistreatment of the National Anthem over the years. Roseanne Barr (shudder) springs not-so-lightly to mind.

Let's put it this way. If our grandnieces and nephews come to the house and throw up on the sofa, we clean it up and have a good laugh about it. If, on the other hand, a complete stranger who speaks not a word of English comes into our house uninvited and proceeds to puke on the furniture and refuse to leave, then I think it's time to bring out the shotgun and make them leave.

That's what we now have in our country: uninvited "guests" who refuse to follow the rules, and who think they have the right to stay.
