Oklahoma City's Statue of Liberty replica is vandalized with a message saying illegal immigrants should have rights.
A few years back we were visiting and I took my father to the Art Museum; they had a special exhibit of Northwest Indian and Inuit art. An outstanding place.

I just got back in from mowing my own lawn (gasp!), and in rejoining the discussion, felt compelled to point out that this is not a National Anthem thread.
Then why, when I casually mentioned it in general comments regarding the Statue of Liberty, did people like you deside to make it an issue?
Because you brought it up, claiming that there was no outrage about it.
No, I brought it up in conjuntion with the Statue replica at Alki Point in Seattle. Folks like you decided to make it an issue which is fine by me.
Well, if we're going to try and taint one another with tangential references, are you outraged that the Lenin statue in Seattle is unmolested, while the Statue Of Liberty replica has been defaced almost beyond recognition?

Actually it's in Ballard, the Statue of Liberty is in Seattle. To make matters worse, the Seattle Mariners stadium is the only major league stadium where the American Flag is not visible from outside of the stadium.
Both these facts have been brought up on FR more then once and pretty much get a big yawn...much like when the Alki Point replica of the Statue of Liberty is vandalized.
Miss Marple, a good number of the signs carried by the "protesters" (aka illegal aliens) were in perfect English. They write in English when they want to get their message across--as in "Rights for the Illegal Aliens."
Did they sexual assault the replica?
Take them to court and sue.

MizSterious, don't you think that many of the signs could have been made FOR them? Just a thought. I don't know WHO did this bit of vandalism, but was just postulating a theory. I imagine we will eventually find out.
My point is that it was most likely done by either an actual illegal alien, or one of the marxists who support these groups. Either way, it's reprehensible. Check out the video. Someone who works with Hispanic gangs in Oklahoma City checked out the vandalism--in another televised report, this guy had a lot more to say, but he adds a bit to the story in this video.
